How to buy a New Car?

by:JCsportline     2020-07-24
Chevrolet is a truly global brand on sale in 130 countries with 61 percent of its worldwide sales transacting outside our borders. However, the brand believes its greatest growth opportunity is in the U.S. Accounting for 70 % of New GM's total sales, Chevrolet's marketing and product strategy is meant for five customer groups (some of which admittedly overlap). These are:
The truck and family groups account for the largest share of the market at large. Chevrolet currently owns the highest share of the truck and segments, so the greatest growth is expected from the latter three, but great effort is being expended in each area. A new heavy-duty Silverado will be introduced at the Chicago show, sporting a new Duramax clean diesel capable to running on biodiesel bolted into a brand new frame. The luxury-sport leading Corvette line was recently bolstered by the Grand Sport, and the Camaro has been leading its segment for six months, but that pot needs constant stirring so seek out convertible and Z28 versions. In the Eco segment, Volt and Cruze lead will lead the brand's charge in 2011. For 2012 the Spark and Aveo will seek to conquest the youth segment while a new Malibu and Orlando mini-minivan reinforce the brand's family-car sale listings.
With GM now the bankruptcy, the Z28 program has been restarted. Why choose? Insiders say the Z28 business case now appears sensible because the new UAW contracts have reduced the labor costs on issues to the point where GM feels it can price it competitively -- and far enough beyond your Corvette. That's the nice thing about it. The bad news is EPA certification and GM durability requirements mean the Z28 is unlikely to go on sale until late 2011.
Our images are very close to the final signed-off design, based on photos for the scale clay model we have seen. Key details to note are the deeper front bumper fascia, with larger front aperture under the grille and the spotlights mounted in deep vents on either side. The Z28 also gets the use grille mesh compared with that of a standard Camaro.
At the rear is a taller lip spoiler that runs the full width in the car. A new rear-bumper fascia features a deeper section with integrated exhaust places. The wheels are 20-inchers with an aggressive 'tuning-fork' five-spoke pattern.
A new hood provides a large, forward-facing scoop. Underneath is the 6.2-liter supercharged LSA V-8 that also powers the Cadillac CTS-V. As currently has already confirmed, this is quite a powerplant, delivering 556 horsepower at 6100 rpm and 551 pound-feet of torque at 3800 rpm.
The near-4300-pound CTS-V thunders from 0 to 60 mph in 4.1 seconds and nails the quarter mile in 12.3 seconds (automatic) or 12.4 seconds (manual). Top speed is restricted to 175 mph on auto (to preserve the tranny), nevertheless the manual will storm for autobahn-melting 193 mph. Because Z/28 will weigh 200 to 300 pounds less than the CTS-V, it may nail 60 mph in 3.9 seconds and run the quarter in efficient low 12s. This Z28 could be the fastest Chevy ponycar from the legendary ZL-1-powered COPO 9560 Camaros built 40 years ago.
The Z28 is almost certainly going to only be available with a six speed manual transmission, unless GM can piggyback some for this car's certification on work already completed for the CTS-V to obtain the automatic in the range from suppliers.
