Laptop Shell: Magnesium alloy or Carbon Fiber

How many types of fabric are these laptops in the market, plastic or metal made? Is there anything different or special 1 material? How do you decide one from all a lot of these? Several months ago my friend bought a HP Pavilion (TX2000 LCD Screen). She likes the screen size and the color among the shell very much, but problems about the laptop shell came after 2 months. She has no associated with the shell. So this passage will show you two more types of the materials: Magnesium Alloy and Carbon Fiber as are usually many few people take insulating material into consideration.
Magnesium alloy
The main ingredient is magnesium alloy. Magnesium takes 90%, followed by aluminum accounted for 9%, plus 1% zinc.
Generally speaking, the hardness of magnesium alloy is several times ABS engineering plastics, but weighs only one-third of plastic, coupled with its excellent cooling capacity. So it's often used in high-grade ultra-thin or small size laptop shell.
Moreover, the silver magnesium alloy makes product more inviting and fashionable. And it is simple to dye. With surface coating process, it could be customized into a number of colors, to add much color to notebook computer, which is beyond the engineering plastics and carbon fibre. Therefore magnesium alloy could be the preferred portable notebook shell material.
However, magnesium alloy is not very erasing resistant. After long time using,the color of the shell will turn dark. And spray painting over people use this is vulnerable to scratch and fall off. Because of price cost, and dedicated processing, it's tough to model than ABS. So laptop generally applied to aluminum-magnesium alloy throughout the top cover or use the palm rest a part of the roof. Advantages: high strength, light weight, good heat dissipation.
Disadvantages: high associated with spray paint to use.
Carbon Fiber
Carbon fiber material can be a very interesting material; have strong features of aluminum-magnesium alloy, but even the high plasticity of ABS engineering pockets. It looks like plastic, but the strength and thermal conductivity are much better than ordinary Abs plastic. And carbon fibre is a conductive material which can take advantage of a role similar to the metal shield (ABS shell plating the interior surface of the need an additional layer of metal film to shield).
Strength and toughness of carbon fiber is twice the aluminum-magnesium alloy, and good heat dissipation performance. The drawback will be the cost of carbon fiber high. It's not easy to model. So the shape of the carbon fiber chassis might be a not enough relatively simple changes in color and it's tough to manufacturer. In addition, drawback is in case the ground is not good, just about be a slight leakage inductance. It swallows a layer of insulating upholster.
Advantages: good heat dissipation, light weight, strength and toughness.
Disadvantages: high cost, puffiness of lusterless.
